Ian Carley
Ian is a highly creative professional whose work is frequently seen on network television in the UK. He’s worked with the BlackRook team since the company’s formation – and before that was a colleague of our lead producers at the broadcaster ITV.
He says his job is about listening and understanding our clients’ needs with the mission to convert those into stimulating visual solutions. He’s flexible, exceptionally patient with changing demands and is focused always on budgets and deadlines. Ian is fully proficient creating sequences with Adobe Aftereffects, Photoshop and Illustrator, 3D Studio Max and Premier Pro, and also Indesign for print graphics.
He has 30 years’ experience art directing shoots – in studio, on location, against green screen, managing pack shots, and effects shots. Across projects he’s directed individuals, groups, actors, celebrities, children – and animals!
Experienced in commissioning music and sound design, he is adept at all audio aspects of motion sequences.

Ian embraces technology and can commission technicians to develop bespoke software/hardware to supply complex motion graphics for a range of live and recorded productions.
