A new World Economic Forum piece argues the energy transition’s biggest barrier isn’t engineering; it’s explanation. We agree, and it’s exactly the gap we work in every day.
A new piece from the World Economic Forum makes a point that sits close to home for us: the energy transition is being held back less by engineering than by explanation. Renewables now make up nearly half of global installed capacity, yet the industry still talks in terms built for policymakers, leaving the public unclear on the costs, the benefits, and who’s meant to be part of the change. We see this gap constantly in our own work. For over 20 years, we’ve helped organisations across the energy sector turn complex, technical progress into stories people actually understand and trust, because a transition nobody can follow is one nobody will back.
